Life for the Living
You may know Round Top from its world-renowned biannual antique show. What began as a small-town fair now boasts an estimated 100,000 visitors, from top designers, buyers (Gwen Stefani and Blake Shelton, just to drop a few names), and antique lovers from around the world. Despite its booming popularity and visibility, Round Top, population 87, retains the wonderful small-town Texas magic that makes it the ideal reprieve from the bustle of city life. With some of the best local food, live music, and fairs, a trip to Round Top is a return to a simpler time. For the 150-year Sesquicentennial celebration of Round Top's 1870 incorporation, Sally Reynolds compiled and authored an incredible 48-page booklet on Round Top's history with a collection of personal memories shared by local residents.
